Most people work too hard because they do not understand the Universal Law of Attraction. First we must know exactly what it is we want to be, do, or have. I encourage my students to desire the topmost that has, is, or ever will be possible to any person. Why not, since what we desire sets the law of attraction in motion? Vedic scriptures tell us that “Man or woman proposes (desires) and God disposes (meaning manifests).” Don’t scatter your energy by having frivolous or unimportant goals. Great souls focus all their attention and efforts on those desires, which are most important to them. Wishful thinkers are fickle and therefore impotent. They want this and that, and as soon as they see someone who has something other than what they have, they also want that. “Keep thine eye single” means keeping one’s attention focused on the goal. Once you know what you desire then make that desire a passionate one. All extraordinary accomplishments have come about only because of the deep inner commitment and compelling desires of people to attain them. As you think about and see yourself being, doing, or having what you desire, you build an impression in your subconscious mind and in the Universal Subjective, which is the creative aspect of Divine Mind. Now act as if. Do what someone who is being, doing, or having what you desire is being, doing, or having. This is very simple yet profound. Why more people are not attaining or accomplishing their topmost goals, is that they are not building the consciousness that will motivate them to do what is necessary. Building consciousness means taking the same actions as one who has attained the same or similar goals. Consciousness equals awareness+knowledge+action. Together these create a magnetic pull that brings to us, with the least amount of effort, that which is the outer manifestation of our inner consciousness. Become that which you desire, and it is yours.
